Customs Inspection, Document Requests, and Clearance Delays
How documentary review, scanning, physical examination, and additional requests can affect clearance.
Imported cargo may undergo documentary review, non-intrusive scanning, or physical examination according to risk assessment and customs judgment. Evidence may be requested to confirm the declared description, quantity, value, origin, and HS Code match the goods.
Respond with objective records such as invoices, contracts or payment evidence, catalogues, and specifications rather than assumptions. Release timing cannot be fixed while inspection or supplementation remains open.
