Required Information for Trade and Logistics Quotations

Information to prepare at the first inquiry so quotation scopes can be compared clearly.

A trade or logistics quotation depends on more than origin and destination. Product characteristics, packed dimensions, weight, quantity, Incoterms, requested timing, and service scope determine what can be quoted and which charges are included.

Items that are not final may be marked as estimates. The quotation should be checked again when measured packing details or trade terms change.

What to prepare

  • Origin, destination, and pickup or delivery scope
  • Product name, use, and HS classification reference
  • Quantity, package count, actual weight, and dimensions
  • Preferred ocean, air, or other transport mode
  • Incoterms and customs or insurance scope
  • Target dispatch timing and special-handling needs
